Athena Wong

Athena Wong is a passionate and dynamic leader devoted to empowering the Black community, with a special focus on children and youth. With over 15 years of experience in community development and a strong background in Non-Profit and Project Management, Athena has been a trailblazer in creating culturally enriching opportunities for growth and resilience.  Since 2012, Athena has led the Blackstone Foundation Library in Toronto, championing its mission to celebrate Black heritage, foster empowerment, and create pathways to opportunity. Through her visionary leadership, Athena has transformed the library into a hub for learning, cultural knowledge, and community support, ensuring that young voices are inspired to rise, thrive, and drive change.  Athena’s work exemplifies her unwavering commitment to building stronger, more inclusive communities while preserving the rich histories and narratives of the African diaspora.

Felicia Christmas

Felicia is an extraordinary figure in community leadership and entrepreneurship, balancing her role as a mother to a brilliant embodiment of #black/girl/magic. With nearly two decades of dedicated work empowering cultural events, projects, and programs throughout the Greater Toronto Area, she has honed her expertise in event management, project coordination, and program design. Christmas’ lasting impact on Toronto’s cultural landscape is undeniable, exemplifying her unwavering commitment to the self-determination and agency of BIPOC individuals, creating spaces for their bodies and intellects to thrive. Notably, she is also a co-founder of the Blackstone Foundation Library, further solidifying her community empowerment and enrichment legacy.
